The Cynthia Cooper Memorial Scholarship Fund (previously Gulf Coast Harpers Scholarship) is sponsored by the Gulf Coast Harpers and covers the Festival Tuition of $400. In order to receive the Gulf Coast Scholarship, both teacher and student must be members of Gulf Coast Harpers. If the Gulf Coast scholarship winner is a Houston area resident, he/she will be asked to perform at one of the Gulf Coast Harp meetings and speak a little about his/her experience. Others winners may be asked to write a report about their experience.
The Mozart Scholarship is provided by community donors and former camp participants. The amount varies but is no less than $100 that goes towards the Festival Tuition and may be awarded to as many as 2 students each year.
Each scholarship may be awarded one time only to the same student but a student could be awarded both the Gulf Coast Scholarship one year and the Mozart Scholarship on another year.

To complete a Scholarship Application for the Festival:
1) The applicant must submit the Scholarship Application.
2) The student’s teacher must submit the Teacher Recommendation Form.
3) The student must submit a recording of 2 contrasting pieces.
